Amerex's GYROMAX™ and SteadyShake™ orbital shakers incorporate design features that offer quiet, maintenance-free shaking under a constant and reproducible temperature environment. Eleven different models meet the needs of most biological research laboratories for shaking under a precisely controlled temperature environment are available in four basic housing configurations.

Features

The GYROMAXTM 727R orbital, refrigerated incubator shaker is a benchtop model with the added benefit of an adjustable shelf for incubation. The double-walled construction, with 1.25" of insulation and a triple-paned viewing glass window, minimizes heat loss. This construction, together with an efficient circulation system, ensures unrivaled optimum temperature uniformity throughout the chamber.

 

The temperature is microprocessor controlled and is monitored accurately by a Pt-100 RTD. It is digitally and reproducibly set from a membrane keypad and displayed by an LED to 0.1oC. The working temperature is from 4oC to 80oC. Independent high and low limit thermostats protect valuable samples by preventing the chamber from overheating and overcooling. You can program the timer for up to 99 hours and 59 minutes or for continuous operation.

 

A large, quiet fan ensures air and temperature uniformity throughout the stainless steel chamber. A brushless, drive motor generates speeds from 40 to 400 RPM that is displayed digitally. At the same RPM, the standard shaking orbit of 25 mm provides a higher oxygen transfer rate (OTR) compared with shakers with a 19 mm orbit because OTR is directly proportional to orbit size. The motor incorporates a built-in fan that lowers the operating temperature, thereby prolonging its life. A tripleeccentric drive with counter-balancing weights provides stable shaking of heavy loads without the need for adjustments as the load increases. The shaking stops when the door is opened. The chamber lamp is turned on and off with a switch on the control panel. The 15” x 15" platform can accommodate Erlenmeyer flasks up to 4 liters.
