Performance down to -86°C is based on integrated complementary refrigeration circuits, robust cabinet design and intuitive smart controls and monitoring. The MDF-DC700VXC-PA ultra-low temperature chest freezer provides reliable temperatures as low as -80°C. PHCbi brand TwinGuard ultra-low temperature freezers provide a wider circle of specimen protection through redundant cooling systems based on patented auto-cascade refrigeration technology.

Ultimate Sample Protection with Redundant Refrigeration

The patented TwinGuard Dual Cool compressor system from PHC uses two cooling systems to double the level of sample protection. The two circuits work together for fast temperature recovery, while the secondary system keeps the temperature at -70°C if a service event occurs.

Superior Temperature Uniformity

Redundant auto-cascade refrigeration systems unique to TwinGuard Series achieve superior temperature stability during initial startup and maintain uniformity following routine door openings and throughout the steady state, minimizing the loss of cold air even when the freezer lid is open.

Maximized Storage Capacity for Efficient Use of Lab Floor Space

Patented VIP Plus (vacuum insulation panels) of the TwinGuard Series ultra-low temperature freezers, maximizes storage capacity and optimizes use of floor space. This thin-wall composite insulation includes narrow-profile vacuum panel layers supported by foamed-in-place insulation. The highly efficient insulation also improves temperature stability following frequent door opening and extends warm-up times during power outages.

Intelligent Color LCD Display

An eye level, door mounted color LCD touchscreen allows full user control while the USB port makes transferring logged data to a PC convenient. This full function display panel includes audible and visual warnings, unit diagnostics, temperature and door opening history. All performance attributes are displayed and an internal temperature log is expressed in graphic form over time.

Microprocessor Controller and Alarms

TwinGuard ultra-low temperature freezers are managed by a microprocessor-based controller that combines security, monitoring, predictive performance and data logging functions into a single display with password protected menu screens.

Energy Efficient

TwinGuard Series freezers are designed and constructed for peak performance and reliability while maintaining efficient operating costs. An ECO mode provides additional energy savings.
