Accucold's Med-Lab Performance Series all-refrigerators are designed and purpose-built to meet the demanding needs of life science, laboratory, and medical cold storage applications.

The ARG8MLDR is an 8 cu.ft. all-refrigerator with an adjustable temperature control range from +2 to +10ºC. The externally located microprocessor temperature controller minimizes door openings, helping to protect stored contents from ambient temperature changes. It features a buffered temperature probe in a glycol-filled bottle for accurate simulation of stored product temperature, plus an additional air temperature sensor. Temperature readings and alarms (for out-of-range, power failure, door open, and sensor failure) are visible in Celsius or Fahrenheit. The unit includes remote alarm contacts and a 1/2" probe port for additional monitoring devices, and a hospital-grade cord with a green dot plug for safety in high traffic areas.

Inside, the ARG8MLDR utilizes adjustable cycle defrost to prevent temperature spikes. Optimized forced air cooling with two internal fans ensures temperature stability and uniformity with rapid recovery after door openings. It includes four white powder-coated aluminum drawers on ball-bearing glides for full-extension access. Drawers are removable, lock into place for security, and have perforated bottoms for ventilation. The unit features LED internal lighting with an on/off rocker switch and a durable white powder-coated metal interior for better temperature retention.

The ARG8MLDR has a white cabinet finish with a blue-accented control panel and a factory-installed antimicrobial handle coated with silver ions to reduce germ spread. The double-pane tempered glass door provides a full view of the interior. The door is user-reversible with a right-hand swing and self-closing function (self-closing is disabled if reversed to left-hand swing). The unit includes a factory-installed lock with two keys and powerful magnetic gaskets for a secure seal.

Featuring hydrocarbon refrigerant, the ARG8MLDR offers an energy-efficient solution for laboratory and life science storage. It is compatible with Pyxis, Omnicell, and AcuDose RX systems. Accucold refrigerators are designed to meet current CDC guidelines for vaccine storage but have not been evaluated to the new NSF 456 standard. They include microprocessor controls and forced air circulation for stable operation. For additional temperature assurance, the CDC recommends using a calibrated digital data logger (DDL), available with the factory-installed option DL2B or as an accessory with the DL2BKit.
