Accucold's Med-Lab Performance Series all-refrigerators are designed and purpose-built to meet the demanding needs of life science, laboratory, and medical cold storage applications, featuring a powder-coated silver ion handle to help prevent germ spread.

The ARG6MLDR is a compact 6 cu.ft. all-refrigerator, with a height of 32.5 inches, suitable for most ADA-compliant applications. It offers an adjustable control range from +2 to +10ºC. The externally located microprocessor temperature controller minimizes door openings to protect stored contents from ambient temperature changes. The buffered temperature probe, encased in a glycol-filled bottle, simulates stored product temperature accurately, complemented by an air temperature sensor. The current and min/max temperature readings are displayed in Celsius or Fahrenheit to the nearest tenth of a degree. The unit features audible and visual alarms for temperature deviations, power failures, door openings, and sensor failures. It includes remote alarm contacts and a 1/2" probe port for additional monitoring devices, along with a hospital-grade cord with a green dot plug for safety in high-traffic areas.

Inside, the ARG6MLDR uses adjustable cycle defrost to prevent temperature spikes. Two internal fans ensure excellent temperature stability and uniformity with quick recovery after door openings. It includes three white powder-coated aluminum drawers on ball-bearing glides for full-extension access and secure storage. Drawers are removable for easy transport and lock into place for added security, with perforated bottoms for proper ventilation. LED internal lighting with an on/off rocker switch provides clear visibility, and the interior is constructed from white powder-coated metal for durability and better temperature retention.

The ARG6MLDR features a white cabinet finish with a blue-accented control panel. Its factory-installed antimicrobial handle, powder-coated with silver ions, helps reduce germ spread. The double-pane tempered glass door offers a full view of the interior, and the door is user-reversible with a right-hand swing and self-closing function (self-closing is disabled if reversed to left-hand swing). The model includes a factory-installed lock with two keys and powerful magnetic gaskets for a secure seal.

Using hydrocarbon refrigerant, the ARG6MLDR is an energy-efficient choice for laboratory and life science storage. It is compatible with Pyxis, Omnicell, and AcuDose RX systems. Additional sizes, door options, and configurations with a mix of standard shelving and drawers are also available. 

Accucold refrigerators are designed to meet the current CDC (Centers for Disease Control) guidelines for vaccine storage. They have not been evaluated to the new NSF 456 standard. According to the Vaccine Storage and Handling Toolkit, these units incorporate microprocessor controls and forced air circulation for stable operation. For added temperature assurance, the CDC recommends using a calibrated digital data logger (DDL), which can be added with the factory-installed option DL2B or as an accessory with the DL2BKit.
