Features
The Optima AUC can be fitted with both or either an absorbance module (ABS) to monitor biomolecules that have absorptive signatures between 170 and 800 nm, and a Rayleigh Interference module (INT) to monitor sedimentation differences between the sample and reference solutions. This allows for the characterization of particles made up of proteins and nucleic acids and those without absorptive properties such as carbohydrates and lipids. Analytical ultracentrifugation (AUC) has long been one of the most versatile and accurate methods available to characterize proteins, macromolecules, nanoparticles and other heterogeneous solutions.
Currently, there is no other technique capable of providing the same range of information with a comparable level of precision and accuracy.
The Optima AUC instrument returns analytical ultracentrifugation to the forefront of analysis by offering powerful UV/vis and interference optics that help you get accurate, reproducible data.
A sophisticated yet easy-to-use analytical research tool, it enables precise characterization of macromolecules in solution, in their native state—from peptides to large viruses.
