Beckman Coulter - B77584 - JA-10.100 Fixed Angle Rotor

Features
Fixed Angle Centrifuge Rotors
Fixed-angle rotors feature a medium pathlength, a fast run time and excellent resolution.
In fixed-angle rotors, tubes are held at a constant angle during the spinning operation, typically between 23°- 38° from vertical. They’re commonly used at higher speeds, for small to large volumes, for pelleting applications, such as bacteria and yeast to recover the pellet and remove particles from a suspension and discard the debris, and isopycnic banding of DNA.
When pelleting, you want the pellet to end up at the outer bottom wall of the tube, as that location allows for easy collection of the pellet. A fixed-angle rotor is ideal in order to gain easy access to the pellet.
JA10.100 Fixed-Angle Rotor for 6 x 100 mL (max.10.200 rpm, max.11.420 x g), Aluminum, Bio-Certified. Major applications: Density gradient separations of erythrocytes, cell lysate fractions, granules; differential separation of DNA, proteins, and viruses. For use in Avanti J-15R and Avanti J-15 centrifuges.
