Laboratory Equipment Company (LEC) is partnering with UC San Francisco (UCSF) and PHC Corporation of North America (PHCNA) to provide exclusive savings on select PHCbi brand ENERGY STAR® Certified ultra-low temperature freezers.
About the UCSF ULT Freezer Rebate Program
UCSF is leading the charge in sustainability and energy efficiency by accelerating the replacement of outdated -80°C freezers with ENERGY STAR Certified units. UCSF operates a fleet of 1,258 ultra-low temperature (ULT) freezers, of which 818 are non-ENERGY STAR Certified models.
A complete conversion to energy-efficient ULTs will save UCSF $1.1 million, reduce electrical use by 3.6%, and lower its carbon footprint by 1%. Backed by its long-standing ENERGY STAR policy, UCSF is advancing its mission with an enhanced rebate that can be coupled with Laboratory Equipment Company’s rebate.
